CRT Foundation, among whose missions is to support qualified research projects started by Piedmontese universities and regional research institutes, decided to intervene in a structured way in this specific sector by giving life in 2003 to the Lagrange Project.
The research area to be supported was identified by the name of The Challenge of Complex Systems, today a sort of paradigm of modernity in science.
In this context, the CRT Foundation, with the scientific coordination of the ISI Foundation, intends to establish the Lagrange Prize-Crt Foundation, dedicated to scientific research in the field of complexity sciences, its applications and divulgation.
The winner of the 2010 edition is James J. Collins (Boston University).
The prize-awarding ceremony will take place in Turin on July 1st 2010 at 18.00 pm.
