No. 10 calls for research fellowships and No 5 Lagrange Start Up calls have been set up from 2003 to 2010. It has been decided that in 2011 a new tool will be effective; it is called "LAGRANGE APPLIED RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP" and, bearing in mind the previous successful experiences, it reforms some points in order to make the essential bridge between academic research and businesses system easier and more effective.
Such scholarships are established for university graduates resident in Piedmont and Aosta Valley, willing to submit research projects within the framework of the study on the organization of complex systems (new materials, innovation of processes, mechanic technologies, biotechnologies, etc.); such projects will be likely to be carried out in a company with the support and the scientific supervision of a University Department or the Turin Polytechnic University or a Research Center mainly funded with public capital.
